East Surrey Walkers

These boots are made for walking…
and guiding others along the way!

For the past 20 years members of East Surrey Walkers have been coordinating with The London Blind Rambling Club to invite visually impaired walkers to join us on one of our walks, offering one-to-one guidance, if needed.  It’s a small effort on our part, but hugely appreciated by the members of the London Blind Club who otherwise wouldn’t be able to enjoy the experience of walking in the countryside.

It’s a most rewarding day for all concerned, especially as it ends with tea and cakes at the Oxted British Legion!   Join us – a friendly group that enjoys talking whilst walking in the countryside, making new friends and having pub lunches.  We also enjoy various social events throughout the year and organise holidays together, both in the UK and abroad.

Each week we offer a selection of walks for different abilities, ranging from 3 – 12 miles.  There’s bound to be one that suits you! You are welcome to walk with us on one or two occasions before you decide whether to join East Surrey Walkers.  We’d love to have your company…
